Welcome to my Blog.

These are my ramblings in an attempt try and understand my Dissociative Identity Disorder. Thank you for reading my blog and I hope that together we can come to a better understanding of the human mind. If you have any questions or comments you are more than welcome to add them to my blog, or to email me. I would love to hear from you.

About Lonnie!

I have taken my time to write this as I have not really known what to put in here. I am finding that more and more people are getting to my blog and may not see so much of what I have posted on here from the beginning.
In February 2010 I was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). In March 2010 I started this blog to help me and others on the journey of understanding what DID means. In my early entries, I give a lot more detail on what DID is about, where as now I tend to speak more openly about how I am feeling at this particular time. For those who are new to DID I suggest heading back to my earlier entries for more clarification. These can be found down on the right hand side of the blog page under Blog Archive.
I have also included a list of other blogs I like to read, most on DID but not all. You are welcome to check those out too, but I cannot guarantee how accurate they are.
My journey continues, I deal with the joys and torments of having DID. The disorder is only one part of the equation. The Trauma is another. That is often the hardest to deal with. But I try to take one day at a time and deal with what it sends me. I cant do much more than that.
I am now a co-facilitator of Bridges, which I enjoy immensely.
I have also signed up to be on the board of the newly formed Dissociative Initiative Inc. But more about that later.
For now, I hope you get something you need out of my blog, and please send me comments. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for coming,
Lonnie
